KIDS TEAM

Kids ministry at Redemption Parker exists to partner with parents to make disciples of their children for the glory of God and the joy of all people. We firmly believe that Scripture is clear in Deuteronomy 6:4-9 that the chief responsibility and joy of parents is to raise up their children in a home that loves the Lord with all their heart, soul, and might. Kids ministry at RP exists to partner with parents to help them accomplish this great task in several ways.

We provide safe spaces for children to learn and grow apart from their parents.
We partner teach the words of God diligently to children and gently prepare them to enter the long-standing liturgies of the church.
We seek to equip parents to talk about the words of God with their children throughout the week.

The volunteers of Redemption Parker Kids Ministry are what we call Strategic Servants. They have the special privilege of partnering with the parents of Redemption Parker to lay a firm foundation of Truth in the lives of the children that we serve. We provide an environment that is safe, happy, and nurturing, while presenting children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our classrooms are currently broken down as follows: 0-23 mos, 2-3 yo, 4-6 yo, and 7-11 yo and are served by two background checked adults. Membership is a requirement to teach in our 7-11 yo classroom. We would love to seek to accommodate your classroom preferences and will thoroughly train you for whichever role you choose.

We ask our volunteers to commit to serving 2x/month for a semester at a time and then to reassess whether they will choose to serve again for another semester. The semesters are broken down as follows: October through March and April through September. If you are unable to commit to serving 2x/month for a semester at a time, but are still interested in serving every so often, consider serving as a Kids Ministry Alternate who staffs the occasional 5th Sunday and are called upon by other Strategic Servants as needed to fill their spot in their classroom.

CONNECT TEAM

We want Redemption Parker to be a welcoming place for all who visit us on Sunday mornings and we’d love for you to be a part of that. We would like to see members, regular attenders, and new visitors feel at home and know how they can get connected to our faith family.

Below are the roles that we need to fill:

Connect Team Leader

The connect team leader will be the primary point person for the Hospitality Team.

Their duties include:

Know the Roles of the team
Train volunteers
Coordinate and communicate Volunteer Schedules
Remind Volunteers of upcoming service
Find replacements for team members unable to serve
Communicate volunteer needs to Pastors/ Recruit new volunteers

Connect Team Member

The connect team member will be the welcoming "face" of Redemption Parker.

Their duties include:

Greeting people at the doors
Roaming the entrance to spot visitors or people needing assistance
Welcome people- send others to welcome people as well
Be knowledgeable about the ministries of Redemption Parker and point people to appropriate ministry leaders for more information
Be others focused and able to prioritize welcoming people over existing friendships

ROADIE TEAM

The Roadie Team members are responsible for setting up or tearing down all equipment, connect tabels, and kids room materials for our Sunday gatherings at the PACE Center. Set-up members arrive at 8am. Tear-down members stay until 12:30pm.

Their duties include:

Transporting the equipment trailer to or from the PACE Center
Unloading or reloading the trailer
Helping the worship team to set up/tear down sound equipment
Setting up/ Cleaning up the coffee area
Setting up/ Cleaning up the Kids Ministry table
Setting up/ Cleaning up Kid's ministry rooms
Setting up/ Cleaning up worship room (Communion, connect cards, SECOR table)
Setting up RP signs and flags
Helping to count the Sunday offering

WORSHIP TEAM

The worship team at Redemption Parker exists to corporately lead the church in the adoration and praise of God in spirit and in truth. We sing gospel centered, theologically accurate and stylistically diverse songs and hymns - as well as leading the church through liturgy, the reading of scripture, and prayer - in order to stir and increase the church’s knowledge and affections for our Lord Jesus. We call, encourage, confess with, and reassure the saints of the truth and hope we have in Him. We strive for excellence and to give God our best, but not perfection or performance.

MUSICIANS We are looking for skilled instrumentalists and vocalists who can commit to weekend rehearsals and services up to twice a month.

Typically rehearsals are on Saturdays at 2pm and run for two hours.

Sunday morning call time is 8am to set up, sound check and prepare for the services at 9:00 and 10:45.

TECH We also have a need for dedicated sound techs who have a good ear and preferably some experience in mixing live bands.

Call time is the same as for the band (8am on Sunday) and it is preferred if you are able make it to rehearsal as well, though it is not always necessary.
